There comes a time in our profession , to give back to your community , friends and colleagues , whatever you have gathered in the journey .I got an opportunity to present the views in Pune regional meeting of MATPO - TPO Association of Maharashtra on the subject - Role of Training and Placement Officer .We gave a new name to ppt - " Greatest Salesman in the World ". There was an overwhelming response from all TPOs . We take pride in our profession and firmly believe that - This multitasking role is one of the most imp roles in Industry -Institute partnership . How to Go Ahead .....For young CS / IT generation .

From few of the world class talks in IT field , I could gather some inspirational rules for today's young IT students , aspirants , entrepreneurs and faculty . 


1. Forget the hype .

What matters to You and your passion is of top priority .If you run behind the hype , you are going to fall in trap which makes you clueless .
2. Choose your galaxy wisely. 

  Select your working domain / area , looking at your strengths and weaknesses . Link your likes with the need of community . 

3. Learn about software history .

You must be a well read person and should take all updates about the happenings in the industry .History always helps us to avoid mistakes and understand the evolution .

4. Keep on learning -

(one programming language every year and 6 books per year) 

Learning should not get stopped till the death . Learning keeps you fresh , genuine and gives independence . 


5. Teach .

Teaching is the best way to get knowledge . Make small groups and start conducting tech talks . It gives realization of our standard . 

 
6. Know your worth .

Take a Pride in what you do .Increase your value and know your worth .People should not take you lightly .


7. Send the elevator down .

Do not keep the things and stuff with you .Give it to others with open hand . River flows and water remains fresh . Do not be a Tank .

8. Follow your gut .

Listen to your Heart .It already knows , what you truly want to become . But then Give 100 % .


9.Fight complexity

There  is no life without struggle .Do not be afraid of complex situations . Be a part of a solution and not of a problem .

 
10 .Share the ideas ....

You will be accepted and widely recognized , only if you share the ideas . Increase your circle .You will get new ideas only if you share yours .Do not be individualist , be a Team player .

Age is NOT the limit , Not At ALL !!

Yesterday , Arthur Ashkin was awarded the Nobel prize in Physics at the age of 96 . Optical Tweezer is his great invention . In stead of discussing the science behind it , I am putting few points .

* Age 96 - Only 8 % people on earth remain alive at this age .

* Only 2 % can walk and talk .

* We called age of  58 /60 is the age of retirement .

* 78 % people in the world do nothing after age of 62 .

* Only 22 % people do something after the age of 62 .

* Can we imagine the energy , passion and focus of Arthur Ashkin .
