Some interesting facts were noticed recently through some business news and thought about it . If we can see the most imp challenge today ...it is Unemployment .But is it really ? In Maharashtra , from that matter , a young boy from Osmanabad decides to come to Mumbai / Pune . Can he get a job ...Answer is Yes . It may be in IT or in Swiggy or Amazon delivery or in Samsung service center . But he is going to get a job . To take this one step ahead , we can comment that India has a Wage problem .Some one can give a name Underemployment .There are different types of Wages - Gross Wages and Net Wages , Real Wages and Nominal Wages ,Govt Wages and Private Wages .Example - If you want to appoint a diploma holder in Mech engineering , he will demand different salaries at different locations .May be 8000 in Gwalior , 15 000 in Gurgaon and 18000 in Mumbai . Now if compare the business model of 3 firms in these 3 cities , you will notice a vast difference . So we need to look at unemployment problem from different perspective . India has around 70 million enterprises , out of which 12 million do not have office , 12 million work from home , 12 million only pay indirect taxes , only 20000 enterprises has paid capital above 10 crore .So to increase the wages , we need to increase the productivity , to increase the productivity we need to have structured enterprises . That means , Industrialization and formalization of Human capital of Enterprises . India has only 25 % of Formal employment . Now total workforce of India is around 60 crore . Only 15 crore Indians are formally into jobs . Remaining 45 crores are employed but have a huge Wage problem . Lastly , our youth is scrubbing between 4 issues - Lack of opportunities , Lack of Suitable opportunities , lack of Employment and lack of suitable employment .

Chodo Delhi ….. Chalo Delhi.
Hi Friends,
We have
been brought up with these two slogans in school curriculum.
First was
by Mahatma Gandhi and Second was Netaji Bose. Occasions were different,
situation was different but objective was same … To kick British out of India.
Same Situation is strangely arrived today. Object is same …Delhi … Old name …Indraprasatha.
Capital of Pandavas!! Scene is more challenging and hence we need to introspect.
In today’s contest, it is imperative to say
Chodo Delhi to “Polluted Air “.. and Chalo Delhi to “Fresh Air …”
You know -
Article 21 of Indian constitution has given Right to have pollution free Air to
all citizens of India and what the hell …we are making to our beloved place. A
place of history from centuries , a place of Dream for so many , a place of
Intellectuals from many decades , a Power Centre , A great city which exhibits
a half of Indian Culture , almost 7 states .
What is
Progress, for whom, for what...Have we ever asked these questions to ourselves.
What is the definition of joyful Life? Now if we apply these points to Delhi’s
pollution crisis, we arrive to few findings .These observations will held true
for Mumbai also by 2030 and for that matter, 4 suburbs of Mumbai will be
vanished under the sea by 2050. By the way … this is not Whats app news .These
are findings from NASA.. Vinobaji Bhave, a great pupil of Gandhiji, has a world
famous statement ….IF YOU EAT LESS …YOU
WILL EAT MORE. If you eat less quantity. You will be in position to eat for
more years. All human problems are zeroed down to this statement. Eating is
just an example. The crux remains same for all issues. Why to blame farmers in UP, Haryana and Punjab
for burning the pethas. Are we aware about a kind of money required to purchase
the machines to cut the roots of crops. Be it any political party, have we ever
tried to see this problem holistically? We have n no of so called intellectuals
in IITs and in Medical institutes. Have they did enough research in the last
decade about heath care, carbon emission, Coal factories, Industry waste,
Vehicle emissions. A big NO!!
Most worried side of India is Clever people
are detached from societal issues and we think rural people are fool. Delhi and Mumbai will collapse in next decade
completely. Arise, Awake!! If we travel just 100 kms down to Delhi and see …next
500 kms till Indore in MP, there is enough vacant land. Had anybody thought to
shift the center of NCR towards Central India? For how many years, we will run
behind so called Joy and Satisfaction, which is actually a poison. Are we
enough educated to keep our needs limited .One great mission ahead is to Make
our villages Independent. Once we do that, there is no need to talk about 1
trillion economy. Happy life for all is the real Economy!! There is no end to
this topic. Now in China, we see a giant Air purifiers like boilers situated at
all key junctions in Metros. We can see those in Delhi, may be in next couple
of years. Where are we moving? Do we have a right to give birth to next generation?
Can we ensure they will live for at least 6o years … Let us take a pause!!

Crux of Interaction !!
In today's world ....nothing can happen without interaction . On this earth , we come and Go Alone . Between Entry and Exit , we are tied up with other human beings one on one or in a group . When we interact , personally or professionally , there are some simple rules and hence a flow chart of this process . If we try to implement these points , there will be a sense of harmony everywhere , leading to better Life ...
When we open the discussion / interaction , first task is to have clarification . Why we are here . Then developing the communication to meet this objective . At some point of time , either of us or a group has to agree one view or opinion . It is not a win over others . This is a sheer Agreeableness ! Finally we close the topic .Any interaction , if it is assertive , will definitely lead to a constructive stage . It should not be reactive .
To achieve this , there are five background principles . First , Esteem . Let us understand everybody's views . Second is Empathy , relate to those views . Third , Involvement .Put yourself 100% in the interaction . Fourth - Share - You should be mentally free without any prejudice and frank to share the opinions . Finally , Support !! All of us have to admit that , at the end of the day , there will be one opinion , remark , objective , decision or task which will exist and we have to support that . It may be yours or may not . One Pregnant young lady , passing on the streets of New York . At one point , in front of big mall - Target , which is the top retail chain , she starts getting messages and notifications from Target group on different offers of Diapers . Still few days to go for a delivery !!
So , Data is the future currency , most valuable . Person himself like in above para , is a big resource of data and millions of sensors , trackers are everywhere to sense the data .Surfing internet , usage of credit cards , fitness trackers , air bookings , on line shopping , hotel chains , orders , social media photos , posts , scanned docs , selfies , Emails , Phone Records , bar codes , signals from sensors , swiping the cards , retails shops , smartphones , thousand of apps , Closed circuit TVs , ..
Everyday we produce ... 2.5 quintillon bytes (one exabyte is one quintillon bytes ) , 25 + 17 " O"s bytes structured + unstructured data . To handle this , only SQL is not sufficient . NO SQL , Hadoop is coming into picture . Effect of Big Data on social , Environmental and tech life is tremendous .That is why we live in VUCA World . Volatile , Uncertain , Complex and Ambiguous .

Good is the enemy of Great !!
This is the key reason , why we have so less that becomes Great !!

We do not Great Schools , why ?
Because ,,,we have good schools ...
We do no have Great Government , Why ?
We have good government .
We do not have Great Innovators ...Why ?
We have a lot of good of them ...
In our country , it is just so easy to settle for a good life .Because it is always very easy to think about ourselves .... In Business , as well , we have huge number of good companies , but very less Great industries like ... Infosys , Tata , Vedanta , Maruti . Good to Great is a human , social and business problem . This travel needs some attributes .Those who knowingly , unknowingly , conscientiously follow these ... they became Great !!
First and foremost ... The Search ... The search of something ...some target , some problem , some identification ...anything ... Consider Vivekananda ,Shivaji , Michel Dell , Steve Jobs ...they were going ahead , searching ...In a team , in the industry ... imp is managing change , motivating people .They keep the process simple but the target is revolutionary .
Greatness is largely a matter of Conscious choice !!Concept of Leader can be thought in a new way . You must have control on your own thoughts , actions and extending to a larger part of society or a team by adapting personal humility , professional will , selection of human resources , build to last attitude . Mindset ...The Only thing matters in Life !!
In sports , there are no of stories to inspire ... But ...Karoly Takacs is unbelievable !! He was a Sergent in the Hungarian Army in 1938 and country's top pistol shooter at the age of 28 - favorite to win Gold in 1940 Olympics . Unfortunately .. In a disaster - a hand grenade explosion happened in his Right - Shooting Hand , also lost a limb .And then ...Inspiring journey started ....
Instead of focusing on what he had lost , he chose to focus on what he still had . In person's life ...Most Imp is Mental Strength and Mindset of a Winner . His mission was to train and transform a left hand into World's Best Shooting Hand !! Karoly spent 2 months in hospital and then went to unknown place , began practice to shoot with left hand . Karoly stayed FOCUSED .
One year later - Karoly resurfaced at the national shooting championship in Hungary and He Won !! What Karoly did in this testing year ... he avoided two categories of people , first - those keep ridiculing you from dreaming big !! and second those only give sympathy !!Karoly was about to head for next Olympics and again big Obstacle came .This time , second world war . This canceled 2 Olympics game . It was very tough to sustain motivation for 8 long years . In 1948 - London Olympics - Result - Gold goes to Karoly Takacs ,with his left hand !! Entire world saluted and offered a warm send off ... But something different was going in Karoly's mind . Not happy with one Gold . 1952 ...Helsinki Olympics . Who won Gold ? No Surprise ... Karoly Takacs .
When such incidences happen in our lives , we should think of Karoly and think like Karoly . A Goal will only help us to channelize the mind and body . This story is not about hand , it is about the mind !! Winning is attitude , not skills .Skills can be acquired , Karoly demonstrated . Important is Mindset ...... Winner's Mindset !!

Let Them Go ...... at age 14,16 and 18 .
Dear Friends , Parents and students ,
From more than a decade , I am involved in the field of training , campus placements , soft skills and other personality development initiatives at different forums . During conferences , workshops and discussions with Tech and HR officers of various industries , few observations are coming up about this new student generation .It is the subject of debate , whether they are true , not true , partially true and also about responsibility .. Students , teachers , parents , friends ...?
Let us see the observations ....
1. No passion about the career . No planning ...
2. Doing graduation , just for sake of doing it .
3. No faith on academics and teaching learning process .
4. Creativity has gone down . No innovation in projects .
5. Emotionally unstable ... at the same time lack of conscientiousness .
6 Responsible-less behavior . More individualists , No team work .
Now while addressing these 6 parameters , a lot of brain storming happened in one of the conferences and finally we decided to give one power solution to address most the these issues . Surprisingly , the fact came out was more for Parents and teachers and of course for students themselves . The Power solution was .... It is the duty of all of us to Expose new generation to outside world at 3 different stages of youth , at the age of 14 , 16 and 18 .
Do not put your ward in a cage ,an over protected atmosphere , let him go , travel and see the world with his own eyes , motivate him to go to different camps .. allow him to go to small treks .Ask him to do small hobby internship after class X , tell him to earn some money with moral methods , let him go to all parts of society , let him go to slums through some social ventures , let him go see the telescope , war memorials , let free flow him to see the farm fields , ask him to take ST bus and go to some drought prone area and do some help work .....
In fact these steps are well written in our Indian culture in many old books , by different philanthropists , Saints and psychologists .... We have totally forgotten this in our city culture , nuclear families and we are people who keep complaining about lack of skills , innovation and passion .
How passion and skills will be developed , unless they see the world , see the inequalities , see the challenges to even survive .... Todays generation has tremendous amount of talent , skills and energy . We are lagging to channelize and expand it gradually , progressively ....

Do not put your ward in a cage ,an over protected atmosphere , let him go , travel and see the world with his own eyes , motivate him to go to different camps .. allow him to go to small treks .Ask him to do small hobby internship after class X , tell him to earn some money with moral methods , let him go to all parts of society , let him go to slums through some social ventures , let him go see the telescope , war memorials , let free flow him to see the farm fields , ask him to take ST bus and go to some drought prone area and do some help work .....
In fact these steps are well written in our Indian culture in many old books , by different philanthropists , Saints and psychologists .... We have totally forgotten this in our city culture , nuclear families and we are people who keep complaining about lack of skills , innovation and passion .
How passion and skills will be developed , unless they see the world , see the inequalities , see the challenges to even survive .... Todays generation has tremendous amount of talent , skills and energy . We are lagging to channelize and expand it gradually , progressively ....

Creativity decreases over time - Mind Boggling research ....
In 1968, George Land conducted a research study to test the creativity of 1,600 children ranging in ages from three-to-five years old . This was the same creativity test he devised for NASA to help select innovative engineers and scientists. The assessment worked so well he decided to try it on children. He re-tested the same children at 10 years of age, and again at 15 years of age (a longitudinal study).
The test was to look at a problem and come up with new, different, innovative ideas
The results were astounding. The proportion of people who scored at the “Genius Level”, were:- amongst 5 year olds: 98%
- amongst 10 year olds: 30%
- amongst 15 year olds: 12%
- Same test given to 280,000 adults (average age of 31): 2%
According to Land, the primary reason for this is that there are two types of thinking processes when it comes to creativity:
- Convergent thinking: where you judge ideas, criticise them, refine them, combine them and improve them, all of which happens in your conscious thought
- Divergent thinking: where you imagine new ideas, original ones which are different from what has come before but which may be rough to start with, and which often happens subconsciously
He notes that throughout school, we are teaching children to try and use both kinds of thinking at the same time, which is impossible.Competing neurons in the brain will be fighting each other, and it is as if your mind is having a shouting match with itself.
Instead of this, Land suggests we need to allow people to split their thinking processes into the various different states, to make each of them more effective.
It’s something which all of my own learning strongly correlates with as well, and which I speak about in my own lectures.
So if you want your child to retain their ability and desire to be creative, encourage them to let their mind run free while they come up with ideas, and only afterwards to sit down, evaluate them and start working on the ones they think are the best.

Future of Jobs
We always talk about Indian economy and Growth with Jobs or without Jobs . Let us keep this aside and have a look at these points ....
1. Environment , Agricultural challenges and financial models are few crucial areas in future .
2. D A R Q technologies are going to play big role .They are distributed ledger technology , Artificial Intelligence , Extended Reality and Quantum Computing .
3. Any Unrest in any segment will generate a job . Jobs will be highly demanding , Analytical and mainly depending on Experiential Learning .
4. In IT , hereafter the dominance of Full Stack Jobs will be evident . It means mastery in Front End +Back End +Tools is crucial . As more Product organizations are coming up , for any IT fresher ..it is like examining a full human body and operate ..and not like ... doing treatment on a single part .
5. Cross Discipline jobs will rule the world ...Hereafter , Engineering will have only one discipline ..Solution Engineering .
6.Work for Society and there are huge Jobs .In fact , Social sector is waiting for engineers and other graduates .
7.Technology is going to impact heavily .However - Shutting Jobs , Augmenting Jobs and creating Jobs is a cycle .
8. GIG Economy is future economy ... more and more workforce will be a part of free market systems and short interval jobs in specified area .
9. Future of Jobs can be well narrated in one line ....There is Enough Work in every field ... let us create Jobs systematically .

Grow from Inside .
For any Industry , Business or Organization " GROW FROM INSIDE " can be a complete slogan . We may call this a mission or vision or merely ..a process . I see a lot of sense and dimensions to it .We recently visited a well known Industry in Mumbai for campus connect meetings .They work in AI and ML .Ambiance was outstanding and they have some of their walls in corridor , meeting rooms and conference rooms , fabulously painted and decorated with these daily inspirations . It keeps you always positive like proton .
In the same journey , while returning back , I was reading a famous book - Hit , Refresh by Satya Nadella -CEO , Microsoft .The book is about paradigm shifts in Microsoft and the challenges . Whether it is a person or organization ...Challenges keep coming ..What matters is - Have you Grown from Inside .- If yes , it is just a matter of time ..to go and grind those challenges . Profit , Turnover , Revenue , employee number , rankings , awards are all fruits hanging to this organization tree . To Grow from inside is not an easy task . To imbibe desired values in employees , to pick and map talents , to train and allign them to core objectives ...is real Growth ...which is Bottom Up ...and not Top to Bottom .
In personal life as well , our feet should be firmly positioned on specific values , principles and to develop such personality is a Marathon task . Jobs will come and go , family life will be his own pluses and minuses , what matters is your mind , attitude and duty .

Pursuit of Happiness - Harvard Study .
World's great minds left behind advice on how to lead a happy life .We are trying to match happiness with - Good Job , Family Life , good heath and Bank Balance .But is that Enough .....?
Happiness comprises of 3 variable factors .
To be frank ...... 50 % of our happiness is determined by our genes , 10 % comes from external circumstances , i.e. upbringing , money ...etc .But remaining , 40 % is the choices we make . Tips ...
1. To be grateful every time ...
2. Exercise daily ...
3. Take regular deep breaths ...
4. Accept and process all emotions , even negative ones
5. Invest in meaningful relationships .
6. Be mindful at the task .
7. Walk with spouse at least for 20 minutes and Talk !!

Innovation
In India , everybody speaks about innovation , Job creation and future India . There are 3 aspects to it . Education , Research and then Innovation . Education imparts knowledge .Research creates Knowledge and Innovation converts knowledge into wealth ( of any form ) . Any innovation should have strong objective of finding solution to a problem of our nation . It can be rural ,Urban , any domain starting from health care to Finance to agriculture . Is it compassing the whole range of all citizens ? Is it covering the huge spectra of De carbonization to non conventional energy to pesticides to mobile applications . Technology is just a tool .Purpose behind innovation matters a lot . Each young talent of India should create his / her own window and try to see the world through it . Innovation should be inclusive and not chambered . Empathy plays a big role behind innovation . Can you believe ...the Only Question asked to Mr Satya Nadella in the lateral interview taken for the senior post of Microsoft was ...... What you will do immediately , when you see a 3 years child , crying alone on the streets of Chicago ....?

90:90:90 principle of motivated and successful life
During , listening of many good speeches and motivational lectures , recently , I heard a very practical tip of motivated life . Young generation can follow it .
What you do in first 90 minutes after waking up decides 90% of your day . More over , if you continue this for 90 days , it becomes your habit .Your mind accepts it so naturally , that no one can stops you from doing that . How Nice !!
Take a example of exercise , meditation , study , reading , music or any project .... If you spend atleast an hour and half from say 6 .00 am to 7.30 am , it will set a tone of you mind for a whole day . Positivity , energy , fresh views ... on all these fronts ... we feel ourselves very happy .
Success of life is to enhance all quotients - physical , intellectual , spiritual and social .
All the Best !!

Shift in behavioral interview approach from HR .
In last couple of years , I have observed new shift in HR interview for Gen Z .
Student community should take a note of this and understand that HR interviews are not only for accessing the communication skill but also to understand your personality , thought process and capability to face life challenges .

They observe 6 qualities through different set of questions .
Parameter 1 - Accountability -Take Ownership .
Q - Describe a time when you made a mistake and were forced to handle the consequences .What did you do ? What was the out come ? What did you learn ?
Parameter 2 - Meritocracy - Deliver proactive services and bring innovation .
Q - Provide an example where you were working on a team and those involved were not all " pulling together " to achieve a shared goal .What did you do ? What was the outcome ?
Parameter 3 - Stakeholder Management - Balance stakeholder views and interests .
Q - Please provide an example of a time you received a request that posed a real challenge ? What did you do in order to satisfy the request ?
Parameter 4 - Partner - Be a partner and team player .
Q - Describe the role you usually take when working as part of a team .What impact do you feel you make ?
Parameter 5 - Client Focus - Be a principled partner top our clients .
Q - How have you handled a situation in the past where the direction of your project or task changed at the last minute ?
